True — good point, their product is not certified organic, but their facility has been approved as an organic manufacturing facility. Likewise they buy organic ingredients for our products. This includes organic sugar, butter, cream and nuts in our chocolate confections.

As for renewable energy, they claim to power their facility using 100% renewable energy. Perhaps you should pose the question of what that really means to Vosges.

FYI, Vosges is not certified organic – their facility is “organic”, which means at some point in the future their products could be. As far as I know, they only have a couple organic products.

Out of curiosity, what does it mean to source their energy from renewable sources? Electricity? I don’t think they’re using wind, water, or solar power yet. I believe that term is slightly misleading.

Most interesting graphics this week. I was debating fiercly with myself whether or not those were earthworms or sausages hanging on the page. Never would I have guessed carrots.

I think the only advantage of being meat neutral is that you end up eating less calories. I can’t believe people actually want to be more “humane” with animals, while kids are dying of AIDS in Africa.
